The Sandy Garden & Craft Show is over for another year. Once again, some challenging weather conditions earlier in the spring, followed by a very warm summer, overall entries were fewer than in 2025, not helped by the sad loss of some exhibitors due to ill health and bereavment. In particular, one of our regular and most proflific entrants, Susan Sutton, passed away in July after a short battle with recurring cancer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Welcome to The Sandy Garden & Craft Show!
Previously known as Sandy Floral & Horticultural Society and in more recent times as the Sandy & District Horticultural Association, has been organising The Sandy Show for around 158 years.
This year, the Show was held on Saturday 29th August 2026 and despite extremes of weather during the Spring & Summer, which affected the horticultural entries and sadly, the loss of exhibitors to ill health and bereavement, we still managed around 450 exhibits to go out on the Show tables for judging and awards.
This is the second year in recent times where climate change has affected entries and given the likely continuation of these weather patterns, there may be some opporunities for additional Show classes in handicrafts and the culinary arts.
Next year's Show will be on Saturday 21st August 2027 so put this date in your Diary!

The 2026 Sandy Garden & Craft Show includes the following Classes:

Top Tray - Vegetables

Largest Sunflower Head - The Coronation Cup
Ugliest Wonky Vegetable
Our Show classes are grouped into sections to ensure there is something for everyone. If you don’t see a class that you would like to enter, let the Show Team know! We’re always looking for new and exciting classes to enable everyone to show off their skills.

A. Vegetables (incuding Top Tray)
B.Fruit
C.Dahlias
D. All other flowers
E. Floral Art
F. Soft Handicraft
G. Hard Handicraft (including Paintings, Drawings & Photography)
H. Cookery (including bakery items)
J. Preserves
K. Wines, Beers & Spirits
L. Young Persons (Up to and including age 16)
